While no particular food is certain to prevent breast cancer, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, “a nutritious, low-fat diet (30 grams or less) with plenty of fruits and green and orange vegetables can help reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.” Fall is a great time to bring in kale - one of the cruciferous vegetables highest in phytochemicals - to complement October’s shining star - pumpkin!
